Gods Plan

HE WAS WAITING
Luke 2: 25
Now there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon, who was righteous and devout. He was waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.
Something I know about God is that there is a lot of waiting in our lives that happens.  We live in a current time where things are available instantly.
Things like information, food, drinks, and just about anything we can think of is at our fingertips. Yet that still seems not to be enough for some people and they still want more.
This man Simeon had been waiting his entire life to see the consolation of Israel which was the arrival of the messiah.
So as this man waited, continued to worship and serve God faithfully in his life and actions. The verse says that Simeon was righteous and devout, which means he was faithful and just in not only his worship, but in his personal life also.
Sometimes in the waiting we loose track that we must continue our worship of God in these times of waiting.  It’s not clear how old Simeon was but it’s reasonable to think he was advanced in his years, yet he never lost focus on what God had placed on his heart, that he would live to see the long awaited Messiah and little did he know that before this day would end, his waiting would be over.
Food for thought, have you been waiting for God to accomplish something in your life and are just about to the end of your patience or time frame you had set for Gods answer and are ready to give up.  What if today was the day God is going to give you the answer to you prayer and end the waiting as He did with Simeon, and you spoil it by giving up.
Don’t let impatience and the pressure of the times take away Gods blessing in your life.
Be more like Simeon wait as long as it takes to receive your answer from God.
Have a great day and be safe out there today. God bless
